A contemplative mind is satisfied with very little. Jesus said, "The people looked harassed and helpless." I am sure many people reading this feel exactly the same way harassed and dejected, and yes you could be forgiven for thinking and feeling like that with the state of the world and maybe a few personal problems thrown in. But the great thing is Jesus set about teaching them.

Creation is probably the first bible ever written. Not so much in words but in beauty. The Father just wanted us to have a beautiful home. Ever since He has been giving to us. He gave us his written word in the Bible we are familiar with. Past few weeks we have been celebrating his Resurrection and Pentecost, his big effort to be with us always. 

Thomas in the Gospel would not believe until he touched Jesus. Thomas cut himself off from the group and in the process he lost faith. Isn't this true of so many people, they stop going to Mass and then suddenly they no longer feel the need for Mass or God. Use it or lose it.
